More Pics.

I have downloaded some more pics of Family and am still looking for more.   I have discovered one record and tree that is absolutely one of the finest I have seen with information about my Mothers side of the family.  Cudos to Jason Mathew Ross for all the work I know you have put into your time and research.  You have my best regards for all that you have done.  This is the element that I look for in learning about Family that has so much interest in searching their heritage out.   Now days families seem to be drifting further apart and I would like to say that we are missing out on much of our history by not taking the time to learn about our past.  I for one have all the time to spare just to learn of one more family member each day that passes.  May everyones days be blessed and hope you will start to grow a passion in finding out who your ancestors were.

THE DIGITAL WORLD! ARE WE THERE YET?

Sometimes we (the older generation) asks the question; where did time go?  I for one have been able to grow up and see the changes on a daily basis realizing that time flies by us faster than we know.

I now know the reason my parents and family always were taking photos and home movies in times past, so they could always reflect on their memories.  Now days the act of preserving our memories are much more advanced and technology, by making the break thru advancements, has caused some of us to get lost in all of the technological terms and equipment.  Do we now have to go back to school and relearn again?  I hope not.

Thanks to our many styles, makes and models of Computers, we can learn and research all of the upcoming trends and stay on top of advancement.  Cameras and home video equipment also as well offer a wide selection of how we can preserve our memories for faster and more clearly expressed optical viewing.  The best part - we now have a way to combine the quality and interactions of each component to make our memories a lasting memory and more secure for prosperity of our children's future than in the past.

My blog is about heritage and family.  I will always and have always had a deep interest about my family and where I came from.   I now have the capability to collect photos and then download them to computer disc and flash drives preserving them for me and my children's future and the ability to reflect on family get-togethers.

Keep in mind when you are confronted with that undecided gift you want to share at Christmas time or even special holidays and birthdays.  You will never go wrong by owning or presenting digital gifts such as cameras and video equipment as well as the new trend of I-Pods or even E-Book readers, which all in their own offer a widened advancement of educational materials useful for all.

I am proud of the research that I have accomplished so far and just wanted to let you all in on how I was able to accomplish the depths and distance I have gained.   Digital technology has provided me with some of the best tools ever to get where I am at today.

The next time you have a family get-together, do not forget your cameras or video equipment and be sure to save them on discs or flash drives for preservation.

Now to close with,   Are We There Yet?   Yes we are.   You now stand amidst a digital world that is passing you by unless you climb aboard the train with the rest of us and enjoy the ride through memory lane.
Take care and each and every person may your holiday season be one you will not forget.

Unexpected relation

It was awesome to discover  3 of our American Presidents - Martin Van Buren,  Theodore Roosevelt, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt were related to us through marriages by Van Buren and Theodore Roosevelt.

Van Huss Family descendants

Would like to start adding some lists every now and then on extensions of the Van Huss Family who are some of the direct descendants of the original New Amsterdam settlers.   I have researched only as far back as Lee County, and Carter county in the Virginia and Tenn areas.  Now I have discovered we go considerably further back with more info than I had ever imagined.   Any Van Huss/Husum relations please feel free to contact me and let me know what you have found out as well. Was able to come across this blog while researching.
